Payson Pounder 2005

The Course:
The Start/Finish was at a section very rocky that lead into the trail. After this section the trail was
technical mostly single track with up and downs. For the rest of the race the course was very hilly in
fire/forest roads. However, the roads were not smooth, I had to choose a line and watch out for
" Snake Bites" because the rains and snow made a lot of "rots", I think that"s what they call them.
There were at least three washes with a little water running. The end of the race was a long rocky
climb back to the rim.

The Race. I got a great start, I picked a great line, which, had me there with Manny Ortiz, the leader
of my Category, Milton Singleton and other top riders in the Sport Category of the MBAA Championship
Series. At the finish line I came in Second, after the leader of the series, Manny Ortiz.

Superior Crit. Since I am also doing some crits. I went to sharpen my skills in the Superior Crit.
Craig reported the Masters race very well. It was a nice, fast course.

Happy Riding.
